eSignal

This is one of the more professional charting packages available covering all the major exchanges. It is relatively user friendly although may take the novice trader a little longer to set up. We currently use this package and offer to help our day trading clients to set it up. We recommend that you use the older 10.6 version as the newer version is still under development. Sharescope

If you want to trade just the UK markets, Sharescope offer both intra-day and end of day packages. They have all of the usual charting features plus a 'data mining' facility that allows you to set up scans for certain strategies you may want to use.
